My favorite thing to do on the weekend is explore everything downtown Tampa has to offer. Right by USF probably a mile or two away is Busch Gardens, which is an amusement park that many students can go to in their free time. We also have beaches really close by.
There's a lot of food options. It's a very diverse place where you could get cuisine from like all different kinds of cultures. My favorite event at USF has been the Taste of Tampa, because we got to meet a lot of local restaurants around campus and also just bond with a lot of people. Whenever I'm done with classes and it's time to head off campus, I normally like to walk downtown or the Riverwalk, the scenery is beautiful. I also enjoy going to Lettuce Lake Park it's right next to campus and you can rent kayaks, things like that and it's just a fun place to hang out.
Armature Work is a place it's really close to downtown Tampa. And there, there's just so many different food options. So there's really something for everybody there. I really liked their steak frites.
