Everyone's very friendly. You can walk around and see people out on the lawn, playing games, on their kayaks hanging out in their hammock.
I love all the events we have here on campus. For example, we have the drag show, we have laser tag and sometimes with like trivia nights.
My first event that I went to was a karaoke night and I went there with my new roommate that I just met that day, went there did karaoke night and did baby by Justin Bieber.
So a very popular recreational stop here on campus is the boathouse. You can basically rent out for free kayaks, paddle boards, and then just out go out in the water. My favorite thing to do after class is feed the squirrels.
My favorite thing to do after class is take out my hammock and go sit by the water.
There's a lot of events that go on on campus. Some of the big ones are homecoming week, the cardboard boat race is a very big event that we have going on here.
It's so fun, you get a bunch of friends together or student orgs it's really popular, and you get cargo boxes and trash bags and duct tape and you cut it all up. And you make a boat and some are huge and some are little but the fun thing is, is that once you enter you have to finish no matter what even it falls apart. You have to swim.
In this campus we have a bunch of organizations, we have over 16 of them, just to make sure the students have like a safe place to connect with people that have their same background. I personally am involved in Latin American Student Association, also as LASA.
During the first get on board day I joined the Pride Alliance and I'm president of the Pride Alliance.
I'm president of the stem club and I'm also part of the marine adventurers club. And we also have a website called Bulls Connect, which makes it really easy to see all the events happening on campus as well as the different organizations we have.
