USF Health, it's great. It incorporates many colleges of health. So College of Public Health, College of Nursing, College of Medicine, and the College of Pharmacy.
And I'm a first generation student, so everything was definitely new and scary for me and my twin sister. So I would say that beginning here, I was definitely the shy kid. But now I definitely have become more involved because there's just so many organizations here, great organizations, and so many peers that you learn from. So I would definitely say that my growth here at the College of Nursing has been tremendous. And I have loved to seen how far I've come.
I'm very interested in critical care nursing, so maybe in ICU, emergency medicine as well. So emergency rooms, that's also an interest of mine. I've worked with children in the past so I also have a unique interest with pediatrics. More specifically, for example, like pediatric, NICU, labor and delivery, I had great experiences there.
And the great thing about USF Health is that every semester we get to see different units depending on where the hospital that were placed. So for example, you can be one semester you'll be in the NICU the next semester you might just see emergency acute care. So it's all about different specialties each semester as we progress through the program. Before coming here, I would definitely say that the workload is different compared from high school to a university level and it is challenging but it is very rewarding once you learn your own study habits, and it just becomes second nature.
